Born and raised in Lakeville, MN, Matt’s dream was to join the US Ski Team. On the journey to the US Ski Team a friend of Matt’s helped make his dream a reality in more than just ski racing. After skiing for 4 years on the National team, he retired at the age of 20. In the process, he became interested in CrossFit as a methodology and a sport. Only months after retirement, he found himself back on a national stage, but in CrossFit. In the 2014 CrossFit Open, he finished 18th in my region, and 202nd in the world. That qualified him for the CrossFit Regionals where he finished 25th fittest man in the 10 state North Central Region. He has since committed to the 2014 fourth fittest team in the world to help pursue a podium finished at the 2015 CrossFit Games. His new dream is to be the fittest man on earth.
