Good News for Knees
Skiing can take a toll on a person's knees, but there's something to help alleviate some of the pressure. The Opedix S1 Knee Support System athletic tights will help knees and legs feel fresher for longer by helping align the knee joint better and using compression to fight muscle fatigue.
"Every step you take, your knee joint wants to push to the outside," says Alli Noland, public relations spokesperson for Opedix. "A knee brace limits the amount of motion a knee can travel to the outside, but not everyone needs a knee brace. Wearing Opedix helps by reducing the load. That is critical, because the less movement the knee goes to the outside, the better."
The only medically proven apparel on the market, the Opedix S1 and S1 Pro were designed in conjunction with and tested at the Stedman Hawkins Sports Medicine Foundation in Vail, Colo. S1 Pro is a boot-top version with a tab that tucks inside the ski boot to provide stability without added bulk inside the boot.
